Happy New Year, Dears!

We're back in Brooklyn, celebrated the new year, and now my brain is pretty much ready to roll into 2016. I have a few resolutions that I plan to keep to myself this year. Not for fear that I won't accomplish them - they are just personal things I know I need to work on.

Typical Days: Weekly Recap

Hello my loves!

Another busy week done and done! We're back in New York for the next week... we've got meetings, a music video shoot, tour rehearsals and two weddings! I have a few moments of quiet in the hotel before I have to start running around so I thought I'd take this opportunity to share a little bit of the past week.

Lately: A Move

I'm going to spare you the "oh, it's been a while since I blogged thing" and get right to what's in the now. Feel good about that? Great!

The time finally came for us to move a lot of our stuff down to the Tennessee homestead. While we had been going back and forth quite a bit, we decided that it was time for us to get a little more settled and be semi-normal people for a while. We can never be fully-normal people… but that’s just how we were born, with a dash of weirdo. Anyway, the move did not go as smoothly as anticipated. It never does, but this was full on, take me to the nuthouse, I can’t live this way, CRAZY.

Seasonally Affected

Fall is officially here. Or wait, it was here and now it's gone again. Oh it's back! I'm not talking about the date of the Autumnal Equinox marking the calendar start of autumn/fall. I'm talking about ACTUAL fall weather which seems more like a tease half the time. I feel like we are predisposed to obsess over it. It's such a welcome break from the sweltering heat that almost every person walks around with a dopey "IT'S FALL!" look on their face while taking an iPhone photo of a dead leaf.

Get Lost in Central Park

As a general rule, New Yorkers agree that Central Park is the literal and figurative heart of the city. For me, it holds so many memories. Some mundane - I used to walk home through the park every day after work to decompress. Some life altering - I had my first date with Rp in the park and that's also where we got engaged. I've watched countless movies, seen amazing concerts, listened to the New York Philharmonic, & trained for a half marathon in this park. However, one of my favorite things about this green strip of the city is that you never know what you're going to get when you step foot inside.
