Fall is officially here. Or wait, it was here and now it's gone again. Oh it's back! I'm not talking about the date of the Autumnal Equinox marking the calendar start of autumn/fall. I'm talking about ACTUAL fall weather which seems more like a tease half the time. I feel like we are predisposed to obsess over it. It's such a welcome break from the sweltering heat that almost every person walks around with a dopey "IT'S FALL!" look on their face while taking an iPhone photo of a dead leaf. Pumpkins become everyone's favorite food, beer, and coffee! Orange becomes an acceptable color to wear! College football starts and makes decent human beings turn into vengeful idiots who will yell obscenities at a baby for wearing the color of their rival school (I'm one of those idiots and slowly changed Rp into one also). We make the switch from iced-coffee to soul-warming hot cappuccinos (or my new fave - the cortado). THERE IS SQUASH IN EVERYTHING! High fives for all! I love every single bit of it and chances are high that you do too.

Being a Southern-raised lady I was used 4 distinct seasons. New York swiftly changed that. Spring? Essentially non-existent. It's a frigid ice-hell for months, then one day out of the blue it's 80 degrees. Fall is a bit more kind... temperatures dip slightly and we get a soft breeze that lasts for about 2 weeks. For two glorious weeks you can wear a light jacket. Then it's basically full-on winter, which is what Brooklyn is experiencing right now. HOWEVER, the Popes are in Tennessee and Georgia for two weeks so we're stretching this good season out (although as I write this, Nashville is experiencing a "wintery mix" but I'm planning to ignore it and hope it goes back to its regularly scheduled programming).

This also happens to be the most photogenic season of all, so I thought I'd share some of my favorites with you. So many different years here, so so many different types of editing. Plus, some of these were shot with film. Enjoy!

One year I was so obsessed with fall that I forced lots of my friends (and dogs) to be ok with the  fact that I'd shove a camera in their face every other minute.

Have you noticed that this is the third weekend IN A ROW where I've posted something? I sort of don't want to jinx it, but I'm getting a little cozy with this situation.
